If you are not satisfied with the explanation from the Assessment Branch, there is an annual Board of Revision process where you have an opportunity to file a formal appeal. Your written appeal must be filed with:

The Town of Stonewall Board of Revision date to hear appeals is held on an annual basis, normally in September. The date is set by the assessment branch and will be advertised on our website and on our Facebook Page well in advance of the Board of Revision date.

If you wish to file an appeal please download and complete this Application to Appeal form and return to the Municipal Office prior to the advertised deadline.
There is no fee to fine an appeal through the annual Board of Revision.
BOARD OF REVISION
The Board of Revision for the 2026 Property Assessment appeals will be held on Thursday, October 9th, 2025 @ 6:30 pm in Council Chambers at Town Hall (293 Main Street).
The deadline to file an appeal for the 2026 Assessment Roll is Tuesday, September 23rd, 2025 by 4:30 pm.
