Property Taxes

General Information Regarding Tax Billings

Taxation year is January to December.

Property Taxes are payable at par to October 31st.  No discount is offered for early payment.

Penalty on arrears calculated at 1 1/4% per month commencing on November 1st,. Penalties are calculated and added on the first day of each month that the taxes remain unpaid.

at the Town Office, 293 Main Street, Stonewall, Manitoba.

Please mail or present tax statement for receipt purposes when making payment.

Payment of your taxes may also be made through telephone banking or online through electronic banking. Contact your bank or financial institution to register your account (use Roll No. as account #).  Interac may also be used at the Town Office.  Mastercard and Visa are not presently accepted.

TAX STATEMENTS:
The property owners name and address which appears on the enclosed statement is in accordance with the latest information and advice which has been made available to the Town. If, however, an ownership change has since occurred, please forward the enclosed statement to the current owner or return it immediately to the Town.

It is most important that the Town be advised promptly of any change of ownership or mailing address in order to ensure that the tax statement is properly forwarded. It should be noted for future reference that failure to receive a bill does not excuse an owner from responsibility for payment of taxes nor relieve that owner from liability for any late payment penalty.
