The Challengers

The movie « The Challengers (1989) » was filmed in Stonewall. Scenes in the movie include shots filmed in and around Stonewall. Several local residents appeared as extras.

The final scene in the movie was filmed at Quarry Park.  The movie was directed by Eric Till who has more recently directed the movies Luther (2003) and Red Green’s Duct Tape Forever (2002).

Actors in the movie included Gema Zamprogna, Gwynyth Walsh, and Eric Walsh. Gema Zamprogna recently appeared as Wendy Storm on the television series Sue Thomas F.B. Eye. Gwynyth Walsh has had guest appearances on such television shows as Smallville, Stargate SG-1, and NYPD Blue.  She portrayed Patricia Da Vinci on the television series Da Vinci’s Inquest.  Veteran actor Eric Christmas can be seen as Judge Cranfield in Air Bud (1997) and as Ernie and Lars lawyer in Mouse Hunt (1997).
